Toothpaste is great for cleaning your teeth and giving you that great, sparkling smile but it can turn that smile upside down if you accidentally get some of it onto your beautiful carpet. Toothpaste stains can be very problematic because they leave a very visible mark and ruins your carpet’s appearance and look. You never want this to happen to your carpet which is why learning how to properly remove the toothpaste stain is important. If you want to learn how to effectively get the toothpaste stain out of your carpet, go on and read the simple instructions below so that you can get your carpet looking back to normal once more.

• One important thing to remember is to clean up the toothpaste on your carpet as soon as possible. The longer you let it stay on the carpet before cleaning it up, the harder the stain will be to remove. Be sure to avoid this problem by quickly cleaning up the mess as soon as it happens.
• Scrape off as much of the toothpaste on the carpet as possible by using a dull knife. Be careful when doing this though as you don’t want to accidentally damage the carpet fibers by mistake.
• As soon as you have cleared the area of any excess toothpaste, it is now time to move on and address the stain. You will need a cleaning solution in order to clean up this mess and you can actually make one by yourself using household items that you can easily get your hands on. Grab some white vinegar from the kitchen and them mix one teaspoon of it with a cup of warm water and place it inside a container, preferably a spray bottle. Then, apply some of it onto the stained area of the carpet and then let it set for a minute or so before moving on to the next step.
• Get a clean white cloth or some paper towels and then start blotting the affecter portions of the carpet. Move your way from the outside part of the stain going inwards while applying some slight pressure as you do so. This will help transfer the stain from the carpet and onto the cloth or paper towel. Repeat this step, applying the cleaning solution again if needed, until the stain is completely gone.
• Now for the last step, you’ll need the area where the stain used to be with some water and then dry it up using some clean rags or towels. This step is to prevent any residue build-up from happening on your carpet.
